Yule Ball at Amur State Medical Academy United 120 Students in Blagoveshchensk

The traditional Yule Ball held at Amur State Medical Academy brought together around 120 students from universities and colleges across Blagoveshchensk. The event, known for its elegance and festive atmosphere, has become a significant cultural tradition within the city’s academic community.

Representatives from more than ten educational institutions of the Amur Region capital attended the celebration. Before the official program began, students dressed in tuxedos, suits, and classical ball gowns took photographs in a themed photo zone and participated in interactive activities, including a fortune-telling session inspired by historical traditions.

Acting Rector of Amur State Medical Academy, Irina Valentinovna Zhukovets, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the historical roots of the ball tradition established during the era of Emperor Peter I. She noted that student balls symbolize youth, cultural refinement, and continuity of Russian traditions. According to her, the annual student ball has become a meaningful tradition for the academy and the broader academic community of Blagoveshchensk.

Deputy Mayor of Blagoveshchensk, Victoria Andreevna Hopatko, expressed gratitude to the academy for initiating and maintaining the student ball tradition. She highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage and promoting etiquette, manners, and civic values among young people.

The evening program included a waltz master class, after which participants confidently performed the dance. Guests also took part in the traditional ballroom game “Stream,” enjoyed live music, and concluded the evening with a modern dance program.

One of the guests, IlYa Mungalov, a student of the Amur College of Arts and Culture, shared positive impressions of the event, noting the high level of organization and accessibility of the waltz master class.

The Yule Ball was first organized at the initiative of Amur State Medical Academy in January 2023 and has since become an established student cultural event in the region.

This year, 123 students of the 10th and 11th grades from all over the region completed their studies in specialized classes. These are schoolchildren from lyceums No11 and 6, gymnasium No25, secondary schools in Blagoveshchensk, Tambov and Ivanovo districts.

Student Selected for All-Russian Summer Scientific Meeting

Two teams of the Amur State Medical Academy took part in the qualifying stage of the All-Russian Scientific School "Young Medicine". Under the mentorship of the project manager Victoria Zaritskaya, the guys defended their work at a regional pitch session in an online format on the basis of the Pacific State Medical University.

The portal "Organ of Vision" for the first time held a full-time School of Myopia in Blagoveshchensk. The event was held with the support of one of the eye microsurgery clinics of the regional capital of the Amur Region. The audience was ophthalmologists, students of the Amur State Medical Academy and residents of the Amur Region.
